I have been working on 6 StuG’s and one StuH 42 for quite a while. I had a down period where I couldn’t get my self to paint the tracks, but there have been bigger stuff happening in my life which have taken focus away from my hobby – we have sold our apartment in the middle of Copenhagen and will soon be moving out of the city. This has been a hard pill for me to swallow, I love this apartment and living far from the center of the city scares me a bit. I will not have a dedicated “man-cave-hobby-room” anymore and will use almost 1 hours of transportation (on my bicycle) to get to work instead of the 15 minutes of walking that I have today.
The positive things will be that I can get free bike training everyday (riding bikes is my other big passion beside wargaming), I will be living 5 minutes from my favourite mountainbike track, my girlfriend and our daughter will have a little garden, and maybe the most important thing: our economic situation will be much MUCH better.
Well that’s the reason why I havent been very active lately, but I am very close to have finished all the StuG’s now. I will be on a business trip to New York the next five days, but hopefully very soon after I am back, I will be able to upload pictures of the little devils.
Sorry that I haven’t been posting for a while. Me and my girlfriend has moved to a new apartment and have been busy making some improvements to it. I hope I will have time to my hobby again in some weeks!
Thomas : )
EDIT: What’s really cool about the new apartment is that it lies very close to a park that still shows remnants from Copenhagens old defences, built around 1657, when defending the city from the Swedes.
This is my first post. I will use the next couple of days to inform you on projects that I have started up. I will also show some pictures of stuff that I have been doing lately. In the start pictures will mainly be some already shown on forums where I am a member. Later on I will try to keep track on what I am doing, hoping that this will work as inspiration for others that share my hobby. I guess that there also will be some talk about producers of plastic models, figures, paint and tools that I have experiences with. I can not guarantee that I will not be talking about other stuff, if that happens then just ignore those posts ;)
Second World War Wargaming
This blog is mostly about making terrain, build and paint tanks and figures for scenarios fought in Western Europe 1943-1945, with a special focus on the Normandy campaign and the following months of fighting. The scale is 1/72 (20mm).
