Just a quick update. Between painting US Platoons and do all the Christmas preparations I did finish my first test FJ squad. I will now go full force on doing the rest of the platoon.
The two FJ’s to the left are wearing the old jump jacket without the camo. Watching pictures from Normandie you often see a mix of uniforms in the same picture. The older jacket didn’t have the extra big pockets, I could have removed them with the scalpel, but think that may be a bit overkill, there are a certain level of details that I skip because of the small size and the fact that they are made for wargaming, not dioramas, and this certainly falls into that category…
The full Squad.
Next to become battle ready is the Platoon Head Quarter. I cannot paint much bigger numbers at a time, it becomes to boring and I need to see some progress, but I will also start to miss small details if I paint to many at the same time.
